If you want to start eating heathy but you don't know where to begin, read below and follow this quick easy guide to good Health and energy. As you go along you may need to adjust as everyone is different. Oats for breakfast are a great choice, they will provide you with energy, important vitamins, mineral and fibres - enjoy with blueberries / raspberries or strawberries! This is a great way to start the day Picking a protein source i.e chicken, turkey, salmon, beef or eggs, combine with a salad or vegetables, spice up with some noodles or rice. Throw in some almonds and there you have a healthy lunch that will satisfy you. Make sure your dinners are fully loaded with enough protein, good carb source and enough vegetables. Remember don't let your meals become boring especially dinner. Change it up by roasting your veggies, adding spices to your rice, making your own sauce for spaghetti bolognese. Just a few ways but there is plenty more. Always keep healthy nutritious snacks near by and use these in between meals. Have anything from Greek yogurt to fruit to a smoothie. The more creative you are, the more fun and enjoyment you will get out of your meals. And most of all don't forget your vitamin supplements 👍

Fantastic progress made by Amy. Her confidence has grown inside and outside of the gym. Have a read of her journey so far.... Ever heard the word gym or exercise and rolled your eyes?? Well, you are not alone. July last year I joined Victory fitness and the last number of months I've had Peter as my personal trainer I think I would be still rolling my eyes without his help and the rest of Victory Fitness.My first day in the gym was memorable. Peter has had a lot to deal with with me, my knee was acting up , back pains etc He then knew how much work he needed to do!!!!!! I embraced all that Peter asked me to do, even when I didn't believe I could. With his gentle but firm words and always encouraging me to try, I started to believe YES! I CAN!! I have dropped 10kg so far and when I started my body fat was 33% now it's just below 19% body fat. I also changed the way I eat which goes hand in hand with training. The results speak for themselves...........I feel great. I sat goals for myself so that I was always focusing on on the next steps. From sprints to weights you name it Peter encouraged me and pushed me when he had to!!Peter helped me set goals and reach them, and used the time in the gym to not only train the body but the mind. I will be forever grateful to him for helping me change my life. Do not place your value on a number! Your weight is not your worth! Sometimes we can become so obsessed with the number on the scale we start to think that if we don't hit that number then we have failed or we will be happy at that number... This leads to self shame and we will beat ourselves up constantly and we will do what it takes to reach that number. This can lead to an unhealthy relationship with food the gym and ourselves. The key is balance! Have a healthy relationship with food by eating good nutritious foods! It doesn't have to be restricted. It doesn't have to be broccoli day in and out. Find what works for you in a healthy way! If you feel your balance is unhealthy have a chat with us and see if we can help get that balance right.
