Each show will include a guest appearance by an Irish Eurovision Legend and is hosted by RTE 2fms Eoghan McDermott. Each show will consist of contestants who have taken well known English pop songs and turned them into Irish. It’s a unique opportunity to potentially see the next Junior Eurovision winner live right before they get their big break on a worldwide stage. Hi Everyone, Received this information from DarklandExtras: We are filming an MMA fight scene in an upcoming Irish Drama series for Virgin Media Television called “Darklands”. We want as many folks as we can have to be in the crowd watching the fight. It’s open to people of all ages to apply to be in the crowd to watch the fight and to be on camera in the show. This is unfortunately UNPAID due to the amount of people we need for the fight to really sell it as one of the fastest growing sports in the world. We will however have fully catered lunch and refreshments available for anyone who is attending, and everyone who attends gets a free T-Shirt with our Darklands Logo on it, when filming is over. Filming will be taking place on: ** Friday 9th of August in SBG Tallaght, Belgard Road **. We would approximately need you for 8 hours in the day. Filming will be taking place from 9am – 5pm. It’s a contemporary show set in modern times so you can wear your own clothes but we kindly ask for NO BRANDING or LOGOS on your clothes for Licensing issues. This is an open call to as many people who would be interested in doing a day on a film set and to hopefully be part of the biggest Irish TV series to hit our Screens at the end of the year. You might remember we posted a link some weeks ago to advertisement for a part time manager for the centre. In conjunction with SDCC, an independent 3 person panel was appointed and they conducted the selection process. The Board were happy to accept their findings and we have now filled this position. Sandra will commence working with us on Friday 14th and we wish her every success with this new role. We really look forward to working with her and we hope the wider community will welcome and support her in the future.
