NATIONAL WOMEN’S STRATEGY A public consultation on the forthcoming National Women's Strategy was recently launched and is calling for submissions before the 27th January. The new Strategy will set out Government policy on promoting equality and the empowerment of women and girls from 2017 to 2020. The consultation paper and details of how to submit contributions are available at www.genderequality.ie. People may also contribute their view at a public consultation meeting in Dublin on Wednesday, 18th January from 10:00 to 13:00. Please register your interest via their website www.genderequality.ie In addition, the Chamber would be grateful to hear from members on what you believe should be the focus of the strategy over the coming years and the way they should be achieved. The strategy is proposed under the following objectives; • Advance socio-economic equality • Promote equal and active citizenship • Advance women in leadership • Embed gender equality in decision making Please send your views to the Chamber before Friday the 20th January.
