Description
Welcome to Sutton Dinghy Club. Irelands Premier Dinghy Sailing Club The Club is a socially responsible community based sailing club located on Strand Road, Sutton overlooking Sutton Creek and Dublin Bay and provides an environment that is conducive to the development of sailors and sailing both at a club and community level.
Our club is unique in that its extensive sailing facilities and training courses are open and available to the general public, schools, community & disability groups as well as its club members.
Sutton Dinghy Club is an Irish Sailing Association Approved Training Center providing sail and powerboat training for adults and children.
Since 1995 we have been the proud sponsor of a FAS/DSP Community Employment Project.

Black ball game and the spoils to HYC & SDC 3-2. Great evening and thank you to HYC, John Faller and indeed Howth Golf Club for the opportunity to play.
Snookers are now the order of the day. Ding dong. HYC & SDC lead 28-26. No one wants to make a mistake. Great to see John Bennet back. As I write Dan has just potted red/black/yellow and fouled blue to go 38-31.
After a slow start Stephen and Dan have potted a few balls and are right back in the match. Score is 20-17 in favor of combined sailing Clubs.
Howth Yacht Club & Sutton Dinghy Club combined v Howth Golf Club - Our Commodore Stephen Boyle on the table with Dan Gill in the final pairing. Match tied 2 games all with the result resting on Stephen and Dans match. Its cagey, its close and we could be here for a while. Combined team is Hugh Gill, John Faller (HYC), Pete Culleton (HYC), Gordon Knaggs (HYC), Brendan O'Brien, Hugh Gill (jnr), Dan Gill, Stepehn Boyle, Gerry Moran (HYC) and Jim Reynolds (HYC).

Well beaten tonight by the experienced HYC team. A superb break of 29 from HYC Peter Freyne was best of the night. Big thank you to John Faller for inviting us over.
