Parkers of Shannonbridge offers a range of different cuisines from Irish gourmet to authentic Italian at reasonable price.We cater for parties! The Old Fort Restaurant is in the newly restored main building of the Shannonbridge Fortifications. This wonderful building was constructed in 1810 (approx) as a bridgehead defence against Napoleon.
The Shannonbridge Fortifications are unique in Ireland and Britain. They are a remarkable example of artillery fortification of the Napoleonic period.
This unique building has had many uses over the last 200 years from being a home to the military, a family business and a family home during the 20th century.
It was finally restored for several years of hard work by the Moran family, as a wonderful restaurant. Currently operates, under new management of Parkers Restaurants, as a Fine dining Irish Restaurant

Customers , We are sad to announce that Parker's Restaurant at The Old Fort closed this week. This is due to a number of factors beyond our control,we found it was no longer feasible for us to continue trading in Shannonbridge so we had to make the difficult decision to close and concentrate our efforts in our other successful restaurants in Riverstown,Roscrea,Holycross and Clonmel. All vouchers issued from the restaurant can be used at our other existing restaurants. We would like to take the time to thank you ,our customers and the people of Shannonbridge and surrounding communities for their support during our time at the Old Fort. On a personal level we would like to thank Fergal and Linda for their help and support, we were delighted to be part of the story of this magnificent old building and wish them all the best.
