The Laundry House
Description
The recorded history and restoration of The Laundry House in Mote Park set in 9 acres of gardens and fields. The Laundry House was founded in 1731 and was part of the Crofton Estate. There are many other landmarks of historical importance related to the estate in the local surroundings. The house was handed to Alexander Haggart the gamekeeper of the estate after 50 years of service and was lived in by his daughter Kitty Haggart until she passed away. The house has a rich history since then and we bought the house in 2002 needing plenty of renovation. We love restoring heritage properties and have had many happy years living in and transforming this property. It has a special feel, a unique setting and great neighbour families. This page shows the renovation of The Laundry House and when it was completed as a family home
