The Emerald Lakes Academy of Irish Dance by Kevin Lyster Founded by Kevin Lyster ADCRG TCRG TMRF SGD, The Kevin Lyster School of Irish Dancing now Emerald Lakes is a Ferderation School of WIDA - World Irish Dance Association. Kevin opened the school in 2004 in conjunction with St Mary's GAA Scor where Kevin ran free dance classes for over 5 years to enable growth, promotion and tradition of Irish Dance through the local communtiy, the GAA & Scor Na nOg and Scor Sinsear! Today, St Mary's Rochfortbridge are a force to be reckoned with in Scor!
Due to huge success in the Irish Dance World the School is now an Academy! Kevin Lyster rebranded the school as 'The Emerald Lakes Academy of Irish Dance' The name of the school was created by Laura! With the addition of Caitlin D'Mello TCRG we are producing the next generation of WIDA Irish Dance Teachers from our classes. Examples of our success are Philip Hynes ADCRG who is a teacher with the school. Another success is Caitlin D'Mello TCRG who is now a teacher in her own school Uibh Fhaili Academy of Irish Dance in Charleston, USA, Theresa Jackson, a former pupil has also opened her own school in Ballymahon, Co. Longford. Emerald Lakes has given so much opportunity over the years.
We continue to commit and promote the ethos of WIDA in todays Irish Dance World and within the community with our Volunteer work in Irish Dance for Community Games, Local Primary Schools, Ceoltas and the GAA Cultural Events.

Lakers Update! Our work is done and its time to have a great time 🇳🇱! So the very best of luck to all The Lakers travelling the World Championships in The Netherlands. A team of 25 dancers of all ages will be representing Rochfortbridge, Westmeath and Ireland in the WIDA World Championships in Maastricht! The Parish and County will be rooting for you all.. Have a great time and give it your best shot! We also wish to thank the local community and local businesses who supported our raffle and cake sales.. all of which could not have been done without you the community 😍 Go Lakers go!! Lakers Update! Belvedere display is going ahead on this coming sunday now with dancers assembling at 1.30pm for a 2pm start. All dancers are invited to come along. All hair must be up and wearing the green wida beginner outfit or the lakers black class outfit. Also best of luck to our school scor team today in the Scor Finals! You have worked really hard!
