Palma Sensei would have turned 50 on Saturday 28th October. We'll be meeting to raise a glass in celebration of her life in Monday 30th October at 8pm in McSorley's. Hope you can attend :-)

We survived the hurricane - classes back to normal schedule today :-)

Due to the hurricane, all classes at the Hombu Dojo and satellite venues are cancelled today. Any students who normally train today can avail of any other appropriate class through the week :-)

To all the many people who have sent such kind and warm-hearted messages, Yesterday many of Palma Sensei's students gathered in the dojo for a class that she had taught for the last six years. I gave a lesson identical to the one she had taught several years ago at kangeiko. People trained hard in a way Palma Sensei would have been proud. We then signed a book of condolence, which took several hours in the packed dojo, and saw her off in style. Thank you to those who could attend yesterday and to those who sent their best wishes. You have helped to make this horrible, sad news a little bearable. Osu, Scott

Dear All, It is with the greatest sadness that we have to let you know that Palma Sensei has passed away. She had returned to Hungary for a short holiday late last month. During a check-up, they found cancer and she was admitted to hospital. She fought, as only Palma could, but passed away this morning. Palma was so special, to the dojo, to the students and to me. She will be missed dearly. We will be meeting in the dojo in Ranelagh tomorrow at 3pm to celebrate her life. We hope you can come. Scott
