Kildare Performance Hunter Show
Description
The Show To Find Ireland's Finest Hunt Horse Hosted by the Kildare Hunt Club ltd and run by a hunt sub-committee. The show is staged at the home of Irish steeplechase racing; Punchestown Racecourse, the show is held annually in March to find Ireland's finest hunt horse. There are three classes, "Huntsman" - jumping obstacles approx 130cm high followed by "Hunter" and "Sidesaddle" both classes jumping obstacles approx 100cm high. Obstacles include gates, stud rails, hedges, banks, drains and wire. Entries are limited in each class and are only taken on line, individual start times are given to riders approx a week before the show.

Every member of the Kildare Foxhounds will attest to the reverence that is placed on the racecourse and is warned through shouts and threats’ as a hunt meet may pass; of the danger of just one hoof striking this hallowed turf. This is a big deal, side saddle riders please support. This race will replace the historic side saddle class. More details to follow. A warning from history; protect your breeds. The Irish Draught Horse Breeders Association are sponsoring a rug to the best Registered Irish Draught in each class, at our show on Saturday March 10th. With thanks to Kilkea Castle for their hospitality at a recent lawn meet of the Kildare Foxhounds at the newly refurbished Norman Castle. Entries Open February 1st.

Keep it steady and take your time, the clip can be edited but camera shake cannot. Sound is not important, wind etc it will be taken out.
