Newcastle West Pet Vet Clinic opened in December 2015 established by Mary B Barrett M.V.B. Our mission is to provide pets with friendly, quality, affordable medical and surgical care. Newcastle West Pet Vet Clinic is designed to meet the needs of patients and ensure owners that their pets are receiving the best possible care. Our brand new facility hosts consultation room, operating theatre, dental surgery and ultrasound, in addition to separate dog and cat kennels, an isolation unit and pet grooming facility.
We carry a range of Nutrition products including special dietary needs. Our “Pet Only” veterinary clinic means that your pet will receive the highest quality care from staff who are devoted to your pet’s well-being.

We had one of our elderly patients in to us today for a dental cleaning .... Val is 15 and was having real trouble with her teeth but after a scale and polish and lots of tlc post op she will be back to herself in no time 🐶😀😘

Your puppy ..... have you looked in his /her ears since getting them ??? Do they shake their head lot ??? Are they a Bichon, Maltese, or a Shi Tzu .... these breeds are prone to hairy ears and hairy ears are prone to mites, so if you lift your puppies ear and it looks like the first pic below they more than likely have ear mites. This little fella is Jack he was in to us today for his first ever groom and his ears where in a bad way but as you can see from the pic it took no time at all to get them nice and clear and clean Another happy client at Newcastlewest Petvet
DID YOU KNOW??? Regular grooming promotes the health and wellbeing of your pet. Newcastle West Pet Vet Clinic has full grooming facilities, as well as medicated washes, flea baths and de-shedding treatments available whatever your pet requires. During a pampering session, your pet is fully checked over from “tooth to tail” by our Qualified Groomer and Vet Nurse, Jo, who will notice things from ear problems to skin conditions to lumps and bumps that can be dealt with immediately by Mary, our resident Vet.
