Tomorrow, January 6th is traditionally known as 'Nollaig na mBan' or 'Women's Little Christmas'. On this day it is tradition in Ireland for the women to get together and enjoy their own Christmas, while the men stay at home and handle the household. It is also common for children to buy their mothers and grandmothers presents on this day, though this custom is gradually being overtaken by Mothers Day. Although Nollaig na mBan is dying out in some parts it is still alive in naul. A healthy breakfast of poached eggs grilled tomatoes and soda toast with tea or coffee is available tomorrow for €5 or just splash out and have a large breakfast and a dessert for €10. It's your Christmas ladies enjoy it.
Christmas opening times: Friday 23rd 10am-3pm Saturday 24th Closed Sunday 25th Closed Monday 26th Closed Tuesday 27th Closed Wednesday 28th 10am-5pm Thursday 29th 10am-5pm Friday 30th 10am-5pm Saturday 31st 10am-4pm Sunday 1st Closed Seasons greetings to all our customers.
