Many citizens did not even bother to vote in election 2016! In fact 35% of our citizens did not vote! In a year when we are celebrating our independence are our politicans not shocked by this statistic? Surely this is something which should dominate the news headlines in the days since the election? But why does our apathy not concern our leaders and modern day statesmen? The reason is simple. 'I always believe that ultimately, if people are paying attention, then we get good government and good leadership. And when we get lazy, as a democracy and civically start taking shortcuts, then it results in bad government and politics'. Barack Obama To all citizens of this fine country that we are proud to call our own i have one piece of advice to offer for 2016 'GET INTERESTED NOW!!!!'
