Three wins out of three for the Olympic boys in the Monkstown International Box Cup in Dublin today. Well done to Jason Nevin, Bonvie Ndevi and Johnny Joyce, who all won Gold today in Dublin. Also, well done to Jack Geoghegan, Carson Hanlon, Adam and Ann Daly, who all competed in Monkstown this year. We also had a number of our underage boxers who competed in skill bouts, who were Jack McNamee, Ryan Jenkins, Alphie Jordon and Brian Daly. Big thanks to Pauly Kinsella and all the Monkstown crew for organising this years tournament, brilliantly organised as always.

5th and Last boxer into the ring this evening was Johnny Joyce. Unfortunately for Johnny, there was nobody in his 38kg category and he had to move up to 40kg in order to get a fight. Johnny boxed brilliantly, but didnt get the decision against a much taller and stronger opponent.

We wont get them all.....Unfortunately for Leah McNamee, she came out on a wrong side of a 2-1 split decision. Leah came up against the English Champion and boxed very well throughout, but just didnt get the decision.
