Presentation of prizes for Scarecrow Competition

A big congrats to the prizewinners in our first ever scarecrow competition. The lucky people are : Best Traditional Scarecrow built by St. Finian's Girl Guides (Cygnet Section). Runner up in this section was Goldilocks and the 3 bears built by the Mc laughlin Girls representing Scoil colmcille, Greencastle. Scariest scarecrow built by St.Finian's Girl Guides ( Brigeen Section) Runner up entry was built by St. Finian's Girl Guides (Cygnet Section). The winner of the best overall entry was the traditional scarecrow built by the Girl Guides. Presentation of prizes takes place at Serenity Hoiuse Moville at 7.30pm on Thursday next, June 30th. So get the designs ready for next year's competition, details to follow in due course.

Winners of scarecrow competition will be announced at 3.30pm at Vintage Show on Sunday. They will be displayed there on the day until 5pm. Come along and view the creations and support Laura Lynn

Scarecrows have arrived. Well done to the creators and may the best win.Come along to the Carrick Field on Sunday to see them, all for benefit of Laura Lynn

It's delivery time for your scarecrows. Please bring them to Thompson's Coal Yard, Derry Rd, Moville on Saturday 4th June AT 3PM SHARP. Also, please bring along the €3 fee per entry. Good luck to all entrants. The entries can be viewed at this year's Inishowen Vintage Club's show day on Sunday 12th June in the Carrick Field, Moville.

Now the Parade is in the past, time to concentrate on the scarecrow comp.Entries accepted from 1st -8th June so plenty of time to get designing and making. Categories are Best Traditional, My Sporting / Music hero, Scariest Scarecrow. Cash prizes for each category winner and perpetual plaque for best entry overall. Cost of entry €3. Application forms available soon so get the thinking caps on !!!
