Gift Grub on Today FM did a hilarious farewell to Irish International Rugby player and proud Monaghan man, Tommy Bowe following the announcement of his retirement earlier this week. The 5 jerseys that Tommy wore during Ireland's historic Grand Slam victory in the 6 Nations Championship in 2009 are on display in the museum. Drop in to view a true piece of Monaghan sporting history! Congratulations to Tommy on an incredible career. We're all really proud of you. It has to be, it must be...... Tommy Bowe!!!!!!

Happy Nollaig na mBan or 'Women's Christmas' everyone. Traditionally, women took a break from all the household chores and let the men do the work. It also marks the official end of the Christmas season and is known as the Feast of the Epiphany.
Happy New Year Everyone! We hope you all had a very happy and peaceful Christmas. We look forward to welcoming you to the museum in 2018 as we reopen today.
Does anyone remember these?! Happy Christmas everyone!
