We are an artisan dye and art studio creating unique colourways on yarn based in Co.Cork, Ireland. http://www.lifeinthelonggrass.com We use professional washfast and lightfast acid dyes and source high quality fibres. We hand paint and dye our skeins with care and are meticulous about following our dye recipes to recreate the same effect of each colorway. We love what we do. We love art, design and nature and endeavour to capture something special in all our work. Our Sweater Yarn is now online for pre-order over the next couple of days:)) we will be dyeing up semi-solids on various bases over the coming weeks and the yarn will be sent out between 1 to 3 weeks from ordering. Special Sale until Black Friday 3 Skein Lucky Dip Bag In our special sale, one lucky dip bag has 3 skeins of yarn worth 66.00 euro for 55.00 euro (not including our flat rate postage 4.95). Each bag will contain 3 different colourways some with various bases so you receive a surprise to enhance your stash:) Some bags will have sock yarns with one DK or all sock yarn with one silk/merino or a twist, single, 75/25 or 100% Merino and some with all the same base but all bags will have different colourways:) We have a limited amount of lucky dip bags available so it will be a first come first serve affair. Our Pre-Order Sweater Yarn is now online... From now until the 3rd November we have our sweater yarn semi-solids available for pre-order. We are dyeing up all these colours during November so your order will be sent to you between 2 to 3 weeks from ordering. You can choose from various bases from our drop down list under each colourway. In the picture below, I'm knitting a basic top-down raglan sleeve sweater in our new fingering weight base - Merino/Mohair/Nylon blend in colourway Night inspired by my new woolen blanket by McNutts in Donegal. I'm going to mix some Kid Mohair in lace weight in Coastal green to give it texture and I've used 4.5mm and 5mm needles for an airy sweater which won't be too warm due to the Mohair content and it's flying along!
