Update from a resident : Just to let you know that a group of lads attempted to break in to a car in the grove last night... appears they are targeting Japanese Imports as these can be hot wired. They are not fitted with immobilisers. No harm advising people with Jap imports to use another form of security on their car such as a wheel lock.

@Hansted Grove residents, I would urge you to contact your management company to follow suit with Hansted Management and get CCTV installed in the Grove. We all live in the same estate but different mgmt companies. HSM are fitting them this year but only in vantage points in Hansted due to budget constraints, so it's a good idea to make your fees count to something positive

Two men robbed items from eight unlocked cars in Lucan estate

**Break in Between 6.00 – 7.30pm last night** just to let all know there was another burglary In Hansted. Garda called to the scene and are investigating

I had a family member staying with me for the night on the close she parked her car in the overflow at the side and when she left for work this morning her windscreen was completely smashed in." SDCC have decided to act on a complaint made by a resident to remove the speed ramps in Hansted. Despite Hansted Managment apposing their decision and raising this with local counselors has not made an ounce of difference. Have no clue why we bother trying to make the estate a safer place when the actions of one person can affect the safety of all.
