Welcome to the 5th SMRC Urban Run, October 8th, 2017.
With two events, this 10k & 5k street race offers the flattest course in Munster. Run it for your PB - Walk it for fun. It's year 5 of the SMRC Urban Run. October 8th, 2017.
The SMRC Urban Run is organized for the benefit of the participants, the SMRC Youth Training Programme, Limerick Suicide Watch, the wellbeing of our community and the promotion of health and fitness. All funds raised from this event go to further the efforts of the SMRC YTP and towards the work of the volunteers of the LSW.
Let's celebrate health, community and the spirit of competition on Sunday 8th October 2017 @ 1pm

St.Michael's Rowing Club Hon.Secretary, Brian Richardson, presenting a donation of €300 to Novas Initiatives on behalf of St.Michael's and SMRC Urban Run. The cheque was handed over to Dickie Shinnors of Novas Initiatives. Novas is a voluntary agency which works with single adults, families & children who are disadvantaged and socially excluded, primarily those who are homeless or in risk of being homeless. Novas clients include many who are not served by mainstream services. Novas starts where others stop. More details on their work or how you can help can be found here - www.novas.ie

The SMRC Urban Run is a major fundraising effort for us anually and we also raise funds for a charity partner, and this time it's Limerick Suicide Watch. Kieran Keating (SMRC Urban Run) and Tom Larkin (SMRC President) presented a cheque for €1,000 to Limerick Suicide Watch. We thank them for their support and for the wonderful work they do for the city.
