Hi Folks, I have completed my training as a WRAP Facilitator ( Wellness Recovery Action Planning). We will be bringing a WRAP course to Corbally in the coming weeks. This will take place over 2 Saturdays. We will explore ways of promoting better mental health for ourselves, this is a very straight and effective approach. WRAP is used all over the world and has been part of the mental health movement for over 20 years. WRAP is effective for depression, anxiety, SADS, self esteem, time management, self care, etc. It is crucial that if you book a place that you turn up ,as you may be depriving a place to someone who REALLY needs it. Therefore we will be taking a €20 deposit which you will be funded once you attend both days of the course. Date and venue will be confirmed in the next 2 weeks. Limited to 10 places.

From September 7 we are opening our door to the general public who want to talk. We will have two counsellors ready to meet with people every Wednesday with a resolving door approach. No appointment necessary, but phoning ahead recommended. However, while this has no fee we ask people to leave a donation which they can afford. Is this something you could promote on your page? OK lets get to work: on Friday the 9th of sept at 5.30pm I will be running an "Introduction to Mindfulness Class" in the Fitroom above Hook and Ladder ( thanks Edel), its FREE and it will last approx. 45 mins. PLEASE PLEASE make sure you can 100% make it if you wish to attend. Only 10 places text 086-7879904 for a place. What you can expect: First a 5 minute introduction from me, then you will lie on a mat and we will work through some guided meditations. We will start slowly and build towards longer periods. All you need is yourself and loose fitting clothes or gym gear.

Hi Folks, I am delighted to announce that Edel Hendriques is the new owner of Corbally Fitness Centre. Edel has been with us since the beginning and her hard word and dedication to her classes brought her to this place. She was always first to arrive and last to leave, always doing more than she had to do and ALWAYS with a smile on her face, hard work pays off .She has some amazing plans for the studio. I want to thank all the wonderful people who came through our doors since the first class. We did some great things together, we raised money for Pieta House 3 times, The Simon Community and we were there for each other with advice and little chats here and there. The experience has enriched my life and I have make some amazing friends. Special thanks to the Hook and Ladder team who looked after us through think and thin....God bless and mind yourself .....
