The first is to link some of our Department activities with schools (teachers, guidance councelors and parents etc). that may have students who maybe interested in a career in Engineering.
The second is to link some of our Dept with the Industrial Engineering Sector so we can inform you of what is happening in the "real world" and where the jobs are.
And the third and most important link connects us all together....

Limerick Institute of Technology is enrolling apprentices on their level 7 Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering (Apprenticeship). The entry requirement is a qualification as an Electrician or an equivalent level 6 qualification. This is a 2-year company led Apprenticeship with 70% of the learners time spent on the job. The Apprenticeship in Industrial Electrical Engineering leading to the award of a Level 7 Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) Degree has been specifically designed as a progression programme for Qualified Electricians who wish to upskill and to acquire advanced knowledge to move into engineering roles in Industry.
