Very common type of damage on a 2010 BMW.

1990 Mx-5 Eunos. JDM. The valve cover had some nasty chrome paint that started to peel. After I took it over to get it sand blasted it turned out it wasn't paint but rather plating. Hands up, who ever saw a plated cover.

The main difficulty here was the piping. It ALL had to be masked of so that the black dye wouldn't discolour it. Then the masking had to be removed between colour and finishing coats. Fun times.

Doesn't look like it, but this was a big project. Many small and medium repair areas, plus the back support of the arm chair had to be extensively re-surfaced.

A small side project of mine own. You can't really see it in the pictures, but it's finished with a sparkly top coat. Might make a video to show off that effect.

X5 Driver Seat Before and After
The amount of Red required to make this dye surprised me at first. I was convinced the color code I got was wrong. In the end it proved to be correct. Interesting fact. It's same type of red pigment that makes up Alfa-Romeo Rosso Red.
