Lifford Players are a long standing cross-border cross-community drama group that competes annually on the Irish and Ulster amateur drama circuits. Lifford Players are a long standing cross-border cross-community drama group that competes annually on the Irish and Ulster amateur drama circuits.
Lifford Players have appeared in the All-Ireland Open Drama Finals a total of 31 times, winning it on three occasions - 1982, 1985, 1987.
Among numerous individual performance achievements, the group have successfully won the Premier Award in several drama festivals, most notably:

- Mid Ulster Drama Festival

News just in from the Ballyshannon drama festival- we came 3rd in a tough competition and received an adjudicator’s award for our dance. Nomination nods also to Arthur Mc Garrigle for best actor, for Kelda Doherty and Andrea Emmett for best actress and for Aidan O’Doherty and Leo Mc Bride for best producer/director. Congratulations to everyone involved and a huge thanks to the Ballyshannon festival committee for having us.

Festival number four tonight- we were delighted to be closing the Ballymoney Drama Festival and even more delighted to be told that we were placed 2nd in the festival! Nomination nods also to Kate Redmond as Chris for Best Actress, Gilbert Young as Gerry for Best Supporting Actor, Leo Mc Bride as Best Director and the dance scene for Best Moment in Theatre.
