Alcohol Forum
Description
Alcohol Forum is a registered charity that works to prevent and reduce alcohol related harms in communities. Based in the North West of Ireland and working across borders, the Alcohol Forum is a government approved community mobilisation initiative. In 2003 the Alcohol Forum was established by the North Western Health Board now HSE West with a focus on alcohol use and misuse in the North West of Ireland. In June 2004 following wide community consultation, the report 'A Portrait of our Drinking' was published. The recommendations of this report mirrored those of the Strategic Task Force on Alcohol (2004) at a national level.
