🌲🌳🌴🌱🌿🍄🌷🌹🌸🌺🥀🌻 We are going to attempt an almost zero waste school over the next few months going into next year, to minimise our footprint as much as possible ... mini feets 😁 The children have already been washing their yogurt tubs for the recycle bin and putting fruit peels in for the compost bin and folding up clean wrapping to be reused .It has always been important to this school to teach respect for the planet and all it's species but with recent shocking and quite scary reports of the effect plastic waste is having on our planet it is now essential. We are doing this in small steps as they achieve a sustainable result . We are asking parents to not send in disposable plastic bottles or straws from Monday the 5th March Thank you in advance for your support... if anyone does not have a flask or reusable bottle we can provide filtered water in class xxxx

Happy Chinese New Year 🇨🇳 xx 2018 : the year of the dog... We have started making Chinese Dragons 🐉 with hand prints. Today we had a chop stick challenge . The challenge was to transfer noodle string and fish or vegetable from one bowl to the next , anyone who could do it won a pair of chop sticks . Afterwards the children tried eating lunch with their chop sticks. We have had circle time discussions about China and will be doing more related activities during the week x
