Local children's author Audrey Moore visited the Junior Room for World Book Day to read and discuss her book "Ping and Po-Li". The children in the junior room were in for a surprise in that Audrey was accompanied by the main character from her book namely Ping the Panda. The Junior Room really enjoyed Audrey and Ping's visit!

World Book Day: We had a great World Book Day here in St. Joseph's N.S. All of the children dressed up as a character from a children's book and they brought their favourite book to school to share it and discuss it with their classmates. We also had a whole school assembly for World Book Day. The senior room read for the Junior Room in the library and we did different book related activities in our classrooms.

Our fabulous new mural which links with the theme of Water Conservation was created using bottle tops of various sizes and colours by our very artistic parents Dairiena and Kate and their equally talented daughters Aoibheann, Niamh, Eleanor, Sophie and Amelia. Many thanks to everyone who collected bottle tops over the last number of months, this is the end result of yours efforts. The mural really enhances and brightens our playground space and is there for all to appreciate. Many thanks to Mick Behan and his team for putting the mural up for us.
