Welcome to Early Learning Montessori School aka ELMS. We offer a complete Montessori programme to pre-school children in the Kilcullen Community Centre. Our philosophy and goals are simple; we strive to nurture each individual in a stimulating and organised environment, focused on the core Montessorian principles, which promote respect for the child as an individual. This develops all aspects of the child; mental, physical, emotional and provides the foundations of confidence and independence.
Though we treat the child as our primary client, we pride ourselves on our relationship with our Parents and encourage interaction and feedback on a daily basis. Newsletters and progress reports are provided as standard, together with term activity plans, which outline the curriculum to be followed.
Additionally we offer Playball and music sessions.

facebook.comWe had our unannounced Tusla inspection today. We are thrilled to be fully compliant. The inspector commented on the respectful relationships between children and staff. She was also very complementary on the atmosphere as she observed happy engaged children. She said, "I hope your parents know how lucky they are". We are all bursting with pride. Thanks to my wonderful staff, who are committed to Elms 100%.
After some consideration we have decided to remain closed on Tuesday, it will give us time to ensure that everything is in order in the school before the children return. We will re-open on Wednesday 18 October.
Due to red weather Alert Elms will remain closed Tomorrow Monday. Stay safe!!

Great day at stonebrook farm today
We released our butterflies today, the children have so enjoyed observing the changes from caterpillar to butterfly. Lovely to set them free on a sunny day.
Back to school today and so much has happened over the hols. Some of Our tadpoles have become tiny frogs. Thanks Annemarie for taking such good care of them. We also have bean plants growing nicely. Such a wonderful time of year.
Learning about the life cycle of frogs. Watching our frogspawn change from egg to tadpole to frog. Thanks Anne-Marie for this learning opportunity. Being conscious of our environmental duties - ELMS has a permit for educational purposes and will return the frogs to the local stream.
