THE MAN BEHIND THE BREADS In 1995 Jerry Harrington decided it was time to start his own bakery. He had been working as a baker for some time and felt the heritage, craftsmanship and values of the ancient craft of Irish bread making should be maintained. Therefore Jerry converted his garage into a bakery and started baking high quality Irish breads and bracks, using only the finest, purest, 100% Natural, wholesome ingredients. Harringtons Bakery was born! In 2011 Harringtons opened a purpose built bakery at Gortamullen Business Park in Kenmare. Nowadays 7 artisan bakers work here day and night. They produce a wide range of breads and bracks, which are delivered throughout the counties Kerry and Cork. Harringtons Bakery is what we call a small batch producer (vs. larger continuous manufacturers), which enables total commitment to product quality and flexibility.

Harringtons breads have been sold throughout county Kerry for a long time and it's only recently we've started supplying our breads to shops across county Cork. Therefore it is nice to receive encouraging emails from our new Cork customers, such as the one we received today: Hi there, greetings from Cork City.Just want to say how delicious your sliced pan is.I have only come across your products in the last few weeks and wondered why ye are only new to Cork?I get your bread in St Lukes Cross/Mayfield area of Cork City North side. The girl in the shop tells me it flies out the door.Sometimes I don't get there fast enough.I wouldn't buy any of the other breads.Just hoping you will increase your supply. You have surpassed all other bread makers and I love Kerry so my money goes to my good neighbours in Kenmare
