The Restaurant @ Waterfront House Closure Dear Restaurant Customers & Friends I wish to inform you of the closure of The Restaurant @ Waterfront House from Thursday 8th December 2016. It is with great sadness that my five and half year journey with the Restaurant must come to an end. This is due to on-going health problems, which mean I can no longer sustain running a busy restaurant to the high standards that I have set for myself. This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional decision, of which I have full support from my family, friends and medical team & advisors who, all agree that my health must come first. I hope that an extended break from the demands of running such a busy business will allow me to return to full health where I can one day return to what I love. It frustrates and upsets me deeply that I can no longer keep up with the busy and demanding evening service as this was the part of the business I enjoyed the most. I will deeply miss my front of house and kitchen team and want to personally thank them for their years of hard work and dedication and for joining me on this journey which has been very special. I sincerely wish you every success in the future. Over the years, you have all helped to shape Waterfront Restaurant into the wonderful business it is today. I would like to also thank my suppliers for their partnership, service and loyalty. I will also miss my customers, both old faces and new, and especially those from all over West Sligo & North Mayo and would like to thank them for their support & custom. We have delighted thousands of customers every month since opening in 2011, when we started out on this adventure. I am thrilled with what we have achieved over the years and I am proud to say that Waterfront Restaurant has created a name for itself amongst tourists and locals, which simply comes down to the exceptional customer service and food that we have consistently provided for over five years. The awards have been a real highlight for me, where we have been named as highly recommended, received exceptional reviews and national media recognition. I would like to thank Patricia Cawley, Restaurant Manager for her hard work, support and partnership since the beginning. Thank you to my brother Shane Scott for helping me over the past year in the business and thank you to my partner Brendan, the rest of my extended family and dear friends. I wish the Tuffy family the very best in Waterfront House in the future. My team and I have set a great foundation for many years to come and hope the next Restaurant Proprietors enjoys good luck and prosperity. I have enjoyed many happy days and nights working on this exciting and dynamic business. It has been a very positive experience and I am deeply upset that I am unable to partake any longer, but it is nice to go out on a high. I hope to be back working in hospitality at some stage in the future and look forward to planning my next adventure. Thank you all again.
