Removing BOX DYE. As in shop bought is a difficult and long and arduous job , but it can be done, the pictures show from start to finish , but if you buy box colour from supermarkets be prepared to spend anything up to 6 hrs having it corrected, the reason it takes such a long time is down to the fact that box dye contains silicone ( that shine you get ) silicone builds up on the hair and can be almost impossible to remove , preventing any colour change . You can try and bleach it out but in doing so your compromise the integrity of your hair leaving you with dry brittle and damaged hair . We use colour remover for artificial colour , reduces the colour molecules and helps eliminate colour build up and the layering of silicone on your hair , so please don't be fooled by shop bought box dye that shine you see from box dye is not healthy shine but in fact a build up of a plastic layer on your hair , which reflects light and fools you into thinking you've healthy shiny hair
