Not even a little snowfall this morning could stop the non stop spring cleaning and preparations to reopen the cottages & Barn for our first group next w/end 26th Jan. We are now full all w/ends in Feb & Apr, 1 w/end left in May and Jun, full all w/ends in July and Aug. Just a few w/ends in March available. So anyone planning a get together, party, or event in 2018 please get in touch.

Before and now after, there is nothing better than the original! We hope you like the restored rear facade of the house. Old plaster removed, stone work re-pointed and the window frames sanded and re-painted. Spot a familiar face looking out the window? He's loving the newly painted windows.

I told our lovely group of French dancers this week, here at The Old Deanery we are prepared for whatever the weather throws at us. Eh voila! our gazebo is back in situ and we have added a new awning next to the BBQ area. So no need to worry if it rains, eh oui we have you covered!

Hen Party Trad Music Compilation Short

Great craic in the Barn last w/end. The trad musicians were fab and the girls certainly enjoyed themselves. Makes for a great party having music in the Barn and it can be your choice, country, rock, sing a long. Also we have a cancellation for a private group booking the w/end of the 18th of Aug'17. So please spread the word, otherwise all w/ends full now until the 13th of Oct'17.

Isn't it strange how some plants are blooming earlier and earlier each year. Our courtyard is a sun trap maybe that's why the Wisteria is in full bloom for the last 10 days, usually this doesn't happen until mid-May. And as for the fig tree, there are figs growing already. It's all bonkers but beautiful. Enjoy the bank hol wend everyone!

It's blooming mad how everything starts growing so quickly. Finally getting the gardens back in shape. There's hours of grass cutting and tidying up but in the end it's worth it particularly on a beautiful day like to-day. Roll on the summer!

What a lucky group arriving tomorrow, the weather for the weekend is to be sunny and dry. Beautiful blue skies we're told! Here are a few pics taken 30 mins ago. This is what the group should see on arrival. It will be our 7th group in 7 weekends. Hopefully they'll enjoy every minute of it.

Last weekend we had an energetic bunch of gals in. Saturday kicked off with Yoga in Eagle Lodge by Janette McDonald, lunch in the Barn followed by a Bollywood dance class by Lisa Quinlan, Prosecco reception in the Wine Cellar, then dinner in the Barn by Phelim Byrne & Co. To round off the evening there was a Trad session by Declan, Stevie and Richie which when into the small wee hours of the am. To finish off the weekend on Sunday morning breakfast was cooked for the group by Catriona & Ann. That's what you call an action packed fun weekend, our thanks to all involved.

And finally everything is ready for our first group to arrive to-day. The spring window boxes are out and as it's really cold we have the stove in the Barn and Stables lite since this morning. For those interested, the next available weekend for a private group booking is now the 4th of Aug w/end.It's all go go here at The Old Deanery.
