Hawthorn Lane artisan chutneys, jams and sauces, lovingly grown and made in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow. Hawthorn Lane is a quality, top end, handmade Artisan product. It began from a passion for growing and a love for nutritious, honest wholesome food that promotes health and well being. That is the flavour that runs through all the products. It is full of minerals, vitamins and anti oxidants. It has been referred to as
tasting like ‘real food’.
I’ve always loved gardening and growing things. As a therapist, it’s been my therapy.
I believe in the powerful healing benefits of working with the land and have always
believed in the importance of feeding our bodies and souls with real nurturing,
delicious, wholesome food, knowing where it has originated from and how it is grown.
At Hawthorn Lane, we grow many of the
ingredients on our allotments in
Enniskerry or source organic supplies from local suppliers. We make, jar, label and
deliver the products and we know the
preparation, care and love that goes in to each one.
We hope you will enjoy the taste experience as much as we love creating it.

After a well earned rest, I was back in the allotments today. There is a lot of planting to be done and it is an exciting time to be starting a new year. It was a beautiful sunny day but the weatherman says it is best to wait until the cold snap is over. However, that didn't stop me digging and preparing some seed beds. Cauliflower will go in first I think! It's great to get my hands dirty with the wonderful Wicklow soil once again. How I missed it in December!

Wonderful news! My Piccalilli won Gold and Best in Farmers' Markets in Dublin at the Irish Food Awards 2016. Thank you to everyone who supported and helped me over the last year. My lovely sons for the digging, fetching and carrying and all of my good friends - you know who you are! Hard work does pay off in the end.
