What’s more, the company has a shop and store in both Coppeen and Bantry and across its various enterprises, Barrett’s employ over 35 people.
We know our customers and they know us. It’s about a business relationship, but it’s more than that. We are there in times of crisis and also when things are going well. ‘There are great friendships developed between our family and many of the families of our customers. John Barrett’s grandfather and father dealt with West Cork farming families in their time. John Barrett is working with the present generation of the same families and establishing new links with many others.
At your service at Barrett Agri are John Barrett, managing director and a sales and advice team comprising Colm O’Dwyer, Coppeen store; Andrew O’Connell, Darren Lynch, Jerry Murray field technical rep; while John Dineen is manager in Bantry supported by store, distribution and office personnel and drivers.

Official opening of the New Farm Shop
Last Saturday February 4th saw the official opening of our New Farm Shop in Coppeen. Many thanks to Minister Michael Creed, Minister for Agriculture, who cut the tape and Fr Tom Hayes for blessing the shop. Our suppliers were very generous with their time on the day, we hope it was of benefit to you. We had tremendous support with people coming and going all day..... Many thanks for all the good wishes........ We look forward to seeing you in our new shop.
