AND there is a full page about us in @irishcountrymag, a lovely piece about independent Irish shops. We're in good company too with @kidstoredublin and @yesterdays_kilkenny We're back open in the morning (Sunday from 11am to 4pm), so see you for brunch and you might even spot some sale bargains in the shop. Thought we would join in the fun of #bestnine2017 and it has made me pause to reflect on the past 12 months. It has been a great year for us at The Wilds, a year in which we grew a little bit more and received recognition from both @mckennasguides and @irelandguide among others. And a year in which we got to meet lots of new customers, suppliers and friends. Personally, it has been a very difficult year however, and one that I won't be sorry to see the back of. Most of our regular customers and friends know that I was diagnosed with cancer early in 2017, and while it's not my first brush with cancer, I really hope that this time will be my last. I was very fortunate to be given the all clear following months of treatment. I couldn't have gotten through the year without the support of my family and friends and The Wilds couldn't have gotten through the year without the support of our brilliant team who have really outdone themselves in a very difficult set of circumstances. Thank you #teamwilds for all your hard work and support in 2017 and I look forward to having more fun and making great memories and meals together in 2018. And thank you too to our wonderful customers who have become friends to us over the past two years since we opened. Thank you for welcoming us into your community and for brightening up our days.
