Hi guys.. just letting everyone know that you need to run the distance you registered for .. therefore if you registered for the 5km you need to run the 5km you cannot run the 10km & vice-versa.

It's race day! 🎉🏁 Just a quick post to remind those in and around the Redfern Avenue and Wendall Avenue area plus those who plan to use the coast road from the entrance to the White Sands Hotel, Portmarnock to the entrance of the Beach (just beyond the Kiosk) that the road will be CLOSED to allow runners access from 7pm to 7.20pm. DublinBusNews Portmarnock AC Just also to remind folks that we will be taking entries this evening at the registration headquarters at Naomh Mearnog GAA club from 5.30pm. Have a great race and see you this evening!

*** 1 Day to go *** Registration begins at 5:30pm.. those who registered online will receive their t-shirt & goodie bag with their race number. Race starts 7pm sharp. Koba portmarnock have kindly donated 350 wrist bands to the first 350 collecting their number.. this entitles the wearer to food down at the beach and 20% off their menu all this weekend.. just show your race band. Each finisher will receive a ticket to exchange for their ice-cream. We have many prizes on the night including spot prizes which includes solo beats headphones, vouchers for whites laundry & dry cleaners, GHD donated by My Hair malahide, Bodylite night runner etc. We have a complementary shuttle bus going from the beach to Naomh Mearnog GAA from 7:30-8:30pm. Prize giving starts at 8:30pm back at the GAA club where we have tea/coffee, sandwiches & cakes. Just remember with road closures to arrive early. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow! PAC

*Countdown*- 2 days to go, we hope everyone is excited as we are! Before the big day, we would like to highlight a few points so that everyone had a fast, fun and safe race 🏁 Please remember that both registration and the beginning of the race will be from Naomh Mearnog GAA club. There is parking at the club but please travel together if possible (it's good for pre race motivational chats!). Registration closes at 6.45 sharp and everyone is welcome back to Naomh Mearnog for prize giving, refreshments and a bit of craic after the race ☕️ Both the 5k and 10k will start at 7pm and runners will head from the GAA club along the public road of Redfern Avenue and Wendall Avenue before reaching the beach. (All downhill 👍🏼) Please do NOT park along this public road as we expect a large number of runners and need as much space as possible. The roads will also be closed shortly before 7pm until all runners have safely made it onto the beach. I dont need to tell you clever folk not to litter, so if you need to get rid of a water bottle or gel, our race volunteers will be happy to take them off you as you pass. There will be clearly marked 5k and 10k turning points as well as race stewards on the beach so keep and eye and ear out to keep yourself right on the night. Most importantly of all, enjoy yourselves!
