Federation of Irish Polo Clubs
Description
The Federation of Irish Polo Clubs represents 10 clubs in Ireland North and South of Ireland. The objectives of the Federation for the coming years is to co-ordinate the activities of Irish Polo Clubs to ensure smooth running of tournaments and compliance with best practice for playing, safety of players and welfare of ponies.
The Federation wishes to promote further training of coaches and instructors to improve the standard of the game and to increase club membership. It also aims to enhance our ability to train more Irish horses to play to the highest level at home and internationally.
In an effort to grow membership to 1,000 by 2020, it is anticipated that FIPC will assist in developing at least five more clubs in Ireland over the coming years.
The introduction of new and young players is to be continued through S.U.P.A. (Schools and Universities Polo Association) in all universities and schools to reach a target of 500 members by 2015.
