Tree pose or vrksasana in sanskrit is a basic pose used to create balance and centering in the body.Tree pose strengthens and tones the leg muscles as well as the inner thigh and groin.Tree pose also helps in keeping the mind body and spirit connected as it creates balance and strength throughout the chakra system. This pose can help you gain clarity on how your body and life is doing, you cant balance on one leg if you are off centre likewise your life wont balance if your mind is in turmoil . Stand strong in your tree pose and get your mind body and spirit in alignment. "I am strong" is a good affirmation to say to your inner self while doing this pose. Namaste 💚

I love no.11... 💚
Sensitive? I got asked for some tips today on sensitive and anxious kids! There are so many resources out there to help calm our kids. Firstly we need to address directly the issues which make our little darlings anxious. It can be numerous things and sometimes it can be hard to get to the root of this anxiousness as it's in our make up! For example, if your personality is quiet and naturally you are a bit of an introvert there is no point saying 'go out there be confident and mingle' it's just not in their make up. The same way an outgoing extrovert will just not be able to be subdued and stay in the background so sometimes our sensitive kids are just that... sensitive 😊 Obviously yoga, mindfulness and meditation are brilliant ways to help ease these emotions of being anxious and calming the mind, but if life is busy you cant get them to a yoga class here is some tips: Visual meditation - Get your child to lie down close their eyes and imagine they are lying on a beach. Get them to really imagine the waves coming and going. Talk them through the sounds of a beach, get them to imagine the sun shinning, now get them to see clouds coming and get them to blow their worries into the grey clouds, get them to imagine feeling a big gust of wind and the clouds blow away, the sun is back shinning and the worries are gone.. Repeat in their mind 'I am at ease, I am happy'... Another simple breathing technique is the bear tiddle breath😊 Lie your little one down and tell them to close their eyes. Put their favourite bear on their tummy and get them to breath as deep as they can untill their teddy moves up and down... Namaste 💚
Anyway Poem by Mother Theresa
Happy international womens day! This is a beautiful poem by mother theresa she had it on her wall and constantly reflected upon it! This is a woman that lived her life totally dedicated to giving unconditional love to any human being who came in her path her heart was so focused on sharing her love. One of the main yogic philosophy ahimsa is the main journey of oneself to practice nonviolence to oneself and others. Read, savour and enjoy these beautiful words from a truly inspiring courageous woman.. namaste 💚

What a beautiful quote from the brilliant chinese prophet lao-tzu, during the week i was doing a charity yoga class with a group of kids ages 7 to 12, well it was a great class but also a sad class, wow i never realized how self conscious our kids truly are. I have wrote many times about tips to empower our kids with positive affirmations these powerful affirmations are little strong statements that we should get our kids to constantly say to themselves to instill inner confidence. I had kids talk about how they practice taking selfies untill they get the perfect picture to post as their profile picture! I had kids talk about how their mams will take selfies all day and learn them the perfect pout! 😢 i was horrified now dont get me wrong i know our culture is probably nearing self obsession , i see it all the time the constant selfies changed on our profile pictures every day constant facebook pictures, the pouts the pose, its all how we look how people see us but this is how we lose ourselves this is how we start to negatively compare ourselves not see the real us. Our kids are growing up not realizing its their good hearts , their good deeds they do for others, the kind words they say, their empathy to the bad in the world like world poverty they show that important. They are just all watching parents and the world around them turn into social media models ( not in all cases) lets start learning our kids they are beautiful inside and out, let them learn to be at one with themselves to truly look in the mirror and say out loud.. I AM TRULY BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE MYSELF. 💚💚💚💚💚
