Did you know that no children are to be photographed or recorded unless pre-permissions are signed? Keeping paperwork in order is essential to the smooth running of any business. Ensuring that you have permission for taking photos and ensuring that employees are aware of your rules for using mobile phones is important and ensures that children are protected. The Child Care Act 1991 [Early Years Services] Regulations 2016 state that no access to the internet or no children to be photographed or recorded unless pre-permissions are signed. This has implications for group events as you now have a legal responsibility to ensure that parents do not breach this for example at your end of year graduation. The Mobile Phone & Camera toolkit will aim to provide guidance on best practice for managing the risks associated with mobile phones and cameras. The Compliance Packs combine the requirements under the Child Care Act 1991 [Early Years Services] Regulations 2016 and National Standards.
