🎶 ⛪Larkin’s Gospel Choir⛪🎶 Larkin’s newest artistic endeavour – Our Gospel Choir has begun to take shape and from September 2017 will be fully up and running! The Gospel Choir is being run in partnership with Gardiner Street Parish under the guidance of Fr. Gerry Clarke SJ and has been kindly funded by the Croke Park Community Fund. Gospel Music has been a feature at Gardiner Street Parish since 2000 and a huge repertoire of songs have been developed: everybody gets something from it. The adult contingent of the Gardiner Street Gospel Choir are hugely experienced and are eager to mentor and guide foundling members of Larkin’s junior choir in its infancy and beyond! Rehearsals are already well under way for our first performance in Croke Park during one of the biggest events in the sporting calendar- the GAA hurling semi final on the 6th August. 6th class students from Gardiner Street, Scoil Caoimhin and Central Model primary school will perform two gospel songs on the day and this we hope will be the start of a very interesting and long lasting musical journey. From September onwards, the Gospel Choir will be recruiting students (primary and secondary) from the local area to become members and become a part of the close knit community that we hope and envisage our choir to become. You don’t have to be a fantastic singer – you just have to have soul and a voice along with commitment to the group – as the primary school students currently involved in our project will attest to, gospel music is fantastic fun and a great way to come alive and feel a part of something very special. Please keep an eye on our school website and Facebook page for further details in the upcoming months.

Best of luck to our Junior and Leaving Certificate students beginning their exams tomorrow☘☘☘
On my own behalf and of the staff of LCC, we just want to wish all our students a joyful and memorable summer. To our exam students, the very best of luck in your exams. As we've said to many of you in the past, while they are about you, never let them define you. The sum total of your achievements are much greater than any single exam. To the parents also who have been so supportive, thank you so much. Its been a really fast year and we have achieved a lot together😊☘
