Playmates Montessori School opened in 1993. Opening hours 8.45am - 4.00pm. We have two Montessori sessions. 9.00am - 12.30pm and 1.00pm - 4.00pm.

We are moving and expanding We are delighted to announce that from this September Playmates Montessori School will run from St Joseph’s and Presentation Ballymackenny schools. This is a dream come through for us and we are very excited about the move. We have places available in both schools – for ECCE (Free year) any child who turns 3 or 4 years of age during 2018 is entitled to the ECCE scheme. The Afternoon class had great fun this week designing patterns and creating designs using our materials - great team work in progress here
The Koala Class really enjoyed the water play this week with the animlas. They had lots of fun splashing, experimenting, role playing and using their imagination.
This week the Kangaroo Class visited South America. We learnt the flag for Argentina, Peru and Brazil. We got lots of information about the Llama and learnt about the Tribe Of Navajo people from South America. After learning about the flags the children designed and named their own flag. We enjoyed making Indian head bands on Friday to end our trip
I am delighted to have been asked to represent providers on a transitions working group. The group will be working to produce a coordinated transitions strategy for children 0 – 6 across County Louth. The first of the meetings is today and I'm looking forward to seeing how we can improve the transition from preschool to national school which is one of the transitions the group will be working on.
The Dolphin class (afternoon class) looked at different foods and decided if they were healthy foods we should eat or foods we have as a treat or special occasion.
The Koala class (Junior Morning Class) enjoyed yoga this week with Aine - time to relax and wind down. They really enjoyed it ·
