TRIUMPH welcomes the wonderful Brian Gillespie to our Performing Arts Summer School. Brian Gillespie is a choreographer, dance and theatre artist, and teacher native to Ireland and currently based in London. He is the artistic director of B-Hybrid Dance and produces contemporary dance inspired and crafted from the hybrid of influences, experiences, and interests that both he and his company members have collected and practised. Graduating in 2012 with a first-class BaHons in Dance and Theatre Studies from the University of East London and Columbia College Chicago, Brian uses his studies in dance and theatre through his work as a freelance performer, choreographer, artistic director and teacher. He also has a keen interest in marketing and has supported/directed numerous projects in the arts with their marketing campaigns. Brian has created commissioned works and performances with B-Hybrid Dance for festivals/organisations such as ADOBE, Reebok, The O2 Arena, BTSport, Resolution! 2013/14/15, Pavilion Dance South West, The Legacy List – London Means Business- The Mayors Annual Address, Dance Film Festival UK, FLAUNT (USA), East London Dance, Collabo14 (Avant Garde Dance - London and Bournemouth), Barrowland Ballet, Cloud Dance Festival, ICON, Cloud Dance Sundays, Big Dance UK, Dance Woking and more. He has also led an extensive performance career alongside his choreographic work. Performance credits include Sadler's Wells, Irish national tour of ‘The Rising’ 2016, Disney, London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Summer Rites Pride in the Park, Barrowland Ballet, SUNS, ALIAS LDN, Geste Records, Laugh Dance, Columbia College Chicago, among others. Teaching credits include; Royal Academy of Dance, Pineapple Dance Studio, Studio 68 London, Visceral Dance Chicago, EFStudios Manila, East London Dance, Folk Dance Remixed, etc. Brian teaches workshops for academies and dance schools nationally and internationally.

Meet one of our amazing dance instructors for August summer camp from August 8th-11th. Private message me if you’re interested in signing up! Darren has been a dancer for the last 10 years. He began by dancing with Streets Ahead Dance Studios in Dublin and spent a number of years dancing and competing on a number of different crews. He represented Ireland in the World Hip-Hop Championships in 2012 in Las Vegas with a crew from Streets Ahead. Following on from this, Darren was on Canvas Crew for a year. While in college, Darren joined the Dance Society in Trinity. He choreographed for the TCD Hip-Hop team for 5 years with Katie O'Neill. The hip-hop crew placed 2nd in 2016 and 3rd in 2017. Since then, Darren continues to take class with Anita Salako in Afrovibe style. Darren's current favourite styles of dance are Afrovibe/Dancehall, Locking and Waacking.
