Hello there, we are looking for someone to fill a position the bakery. These are sociable hours, late afternoon & early evening. Kate Does Everest Base Camp

Just highlighting that the physical tickets we have for the raffle tomorrow night for some amazing prizes will be leaving for Dublin tomorrow evening. Win or loose you are contributing wholly to two great charities, that's a sprinkling of good karma and a dash of feelgood in itself. If you wish you can also enter online and/or if out and about in Dublin call away in to Whelan's for the celebration. May you all enjoy the weekend wherever it may take you :-)

We would like to say that as a mark of respect to the late great Kitty O’Donoghue, we will be closed tomorrow the 02/10/2016. For those of you who aren’t aware, Kitty departed this world for another on Thursday the 29th of September. Little did we realise that two weeks ago when she hung up her apron to take two weeks leave that this would be the last time we would see her. In her 42 years here she has been a constant in our lives and the lives of others, she was the smile that everyone expected to see when they walked in the door, or the laugh you’d hear in the distance. She was there through an assortment of good times, hard times, births, marriages, deaths, you name it there was never a dull moment. It’s hard to put into words, but we had great times in her company and these are times that we’ll look back on more fondly now than ever. It’s not often we post long messages here but it’s worth recognising this lady as she was such an amazing part of all of our lives, she knew so many people and looked after all. She was kind to the old and could keep up with the young, she had a heart of gold. Where ever she is now, all we know is they are having a wonderful time because they are in great company. RIP Kitty O’Donoghue you were a “Mighty Girl” we’re going to be lonesome without you xx
