RoseBank Equine is a small riding/training/livery yard located five minutes outside of beautiful Skibbereen, beside Lissard Estate. Rosebank Equine is run by Jo Bishop. Jo is a qualified BHS riding instructor who has had 30 years experience with horses. Jo has had experience with all levels of riders and all types of riding such as dressage, show jumping, eventing, hunting and more. Jo also has a diploma in disability studies and has had many years experience working with people with disabilities and horses. At Rosebank equine the welfare of the horses is the most important aspect. Riding and care of horses is taught through natural horsemanship. We simply do not use fear or pain to achieve goals with horses and understand that teaching through pain and fear do not result in the type of relationship that benefits both horse and human. Jo has learnt these methods through the teaching of Buck Brannaman, a world renowned horseman . At Rosebank Equine we provide a safe and happy place for both people and horses.
