Stretch Therapy is a brand new to Ireland! Its comprehensive & includes stretching, fascial remodelling, strengthening, neural re-patterning &relaxation. Stretch Therapy Ireland is focused on providing a safe, yet extremely efficient way to improve your flexibility. Flexibility plays an integral part in our physical and mental well being; stretching allows us to release muscular tension, manage injury, and allay common aches and pains associated with stress and age, or too much work at the computer!

Stretch therapy Ireland provides individual stretching sessions, group sessions, tailored plans. On top of this, Claire is a qualified Sports Massage therapist and is available for massage within the Blarney area.

STRETCH 9 - SHOULDER/BICEP STRETCH - TWICE WEEKLY Why complete this Stretch? Due to posture and other reasons our shoulders have rolled forward. This stretch is great for loosening out the shoulder capsule and bicep muscle in the arm. This will help to increase shoulder flexibility and reduce tension in the back and neck region. Where do you feel the stretch? Feel the stretch in the shoulder itself and the top part of the arm. Very important to start the stretch in the correct position with the arm across the throat and not lower down. Breathing? 5 breaths before and after contractions Always re-stretch on an exhale Contraction? Switch the muscle being stretched on and off by pressing arm into floor – 5 seconds

STRETCH 8 - PEC/TRICEPS STRETCH - TWICE WEEKLY

STRETCH NUMBER 6 – Hip flexor stretch – A TWICE WEEKLY Stretch Why complete this Stretch? Tight hip flexors and other hip muscles can cause the pelvis to tilt forward – this puts more pressure on the lower back and lead to back pain. This is one of the most important stretches to avoid pain and injury in the body and legs. Where do you feel the stretch? Stretch felt strongly at the front of the back leg Breathing? 5 breaths before and after contractions Always re-stretch on an exhale and its very important to maintain square hips and tail tuck Contraction? Try to drag the back leg forward (do not let the leg move at all) – 10 seconds
