The CIT Breaking the Silence Society had a great time at the BICS Awards 2015/2016. Although we did not win it was a great opportunity to raise awareness about what we do and to meet other groups working in the area of mental health from around the country! Thanks to all the members who came up and did a fantastic job at representing the society and thanks to the societies office for their support and making this possible. We like to say a huge congratulations to Martin Remi Crowley who won an Individual awards and well done to all the other societies that took part.

Hey! If anybody is interested in attending the play there might be a few of us going and we can organise lifts if you message me in mail! “Bring me Back Alive” has been very well received in Dublin and has run in several community settings in Dublin and Cavan. Also see attached letter of support received following a performance at Warrenmount Secondary School. Shine A Light are a group who passionate about promoting discussion around suicide and how to access help with thoughts of suicide and the aftermath of suicide. We would love to see this play attended by not just youth groups but ALL groups in across Cork City and County. For us this is the first of what we hope will be many showings and to have representatives from as many groups as possible would be important to promote a return showing. But for now we need tickets to sell. The tickets are just €6 from the box office in the firkin crane and €7.50 on line.
