French book suggestion. Ukraine-born #Nemirovsky moved to France at 18. The polyglot wrote her unfinished masterpiece 'Suite Française' while living in Nazi-occupied Paris. She was deported to Auschwitz for being a “stateless person of Jewish descent”. The book is a beautifully observed piece which has been widely praised by critics and readers alike.
