#ThrowbackThursday On April 7th 1943, T’aint a Bird, an American B-17 Flying Fortress crash landed in White's Marsh near Clonakilty. There were eleven crewmen on board and their mascot Tojo the monkey. All the crew survived and spent three days recuperating in O'Donovan's Hotel. However Tojo their mascot succumbed to the cold climatic conditions and died.
