Lunch time - toast, poached eggs & mushrooms. (I also had a second slice of toast with NAS jam) - all free. It's not about eating less, but eating more nutritious foods. "Are mushrooms nutritious? Mushrooms are low in calories, fat-free, cholesterol-free, gluten-free, and very low in sodium, yet they provide important nutrients, including selenium, potassium (8%), riboflavin, niacin, vitamin D and more". Saturdays breakfast is as important as Mondays! This morning I had grated apple, porridge & chia seeds (1 bite) "Chia seeds are a “whole grain” food, are usually grown organically, are non-GMO and naturally free of gluten. Bottom Line: Despite their tiny size, chia seeds are among the most nutritious foods on the planet. They are loaded with fiber, protein, Omega-3 fatty acids and various micronutrients".
