facebook.comJust want to let everybody know that I will be out of action in blacksmithing for the foreseeable future. Had a scan last week and I have a herniated disc in my lumbar region. Very frustrating to say the least. I will still be able to do small items and jewellery, including some silver work. Rings, earrings, etc. Just don't expect anything in a rush. :)
Apologies for not being able to finish any orders in the last 6 weeks , but having totally f'd up my back there's not a lot I can do! :( #v

Finished my order for a damascus chef's knife yesterday. The client collected it and was very pleased with it. A smidgen over 8" blade, approximately 130 layers of forge welded high carbon steel; 156 layers before file work done. Fitted with a 4000 year old bog yew handle with two brass pins and one custom made Mosaic pin in a paw motif. My third knife, so far and my second damascus knife. Already have an order for another one! :D

Received news last week to say that someone purchased my piece 'Grús', which was part of the Sculpture in context exhibition at the botanic gardens. Very happy! :)
