Happy New Year and welcome back. I hope everyone had a great break and is ready to tackle the new semester with the typical January enthusiasm. To help keep the momentum going on all the good intentions The Sports Office and SU have designed a Kickstart 2018 programme to offer some help in getting into/ keeping going with healthy habits. Clubs & Socs If You missed out on Clubs & Societies day in September there will be another chance to get involved as some of the clubs will be reopening for membership on Wednesday – you can see what’s on offer in the SU Corridor Wednesday 17th from 11.00 – 13.00 We are very excited about the prospect of a new society “Wilderness & Well Being Society” which will have many strands to it and which we would hope would be attractive and beneficial to students & staff from all areas of the college. This year there be a slight difference with some of the instructors offering an active registration where you can sample a free “Come & Try Session” before deciding to join up. Registration will be from 12.30 to 14.00 with sample classes starting @ 13.00 early birdEARLY BIRD FITNESS There will be walking and running groups getting a head start on the day with groups meeting at the front of the college @ 8.00 for walks or runs to lough Lannagh – the plan for both is to be back bright and breezy well in time for 9.00 classes (runners will have time to grab a shower before class). There will also be lunchtime options Fit4work sign-ups will happen on Thursday 18th as noted -for all other activities you can sign up during clubs & socs Take 2 or by calling to the sports office

There is some porridge , toast and tea down in area 15 to help any students with studying for there exams. It is self service so enjoy and happy studying 📖📚🍲☕
