facebook.comFINALS NIGHT!! Carrickmacross Snooker Club hosted there first finals of season last night and it didn’t disappoint. In the Junior Competition it’s was a greatly contested match between Eoghan Dillane and Sean McMonagle. It was a fantastic match with Eoghan making the fastest start taking the first frame, on to the second frame and it swung either way up until Sean potted a fabulous long black to take the frame. Eoghan won the third and Sean took the fourth to bring this great match to a fifth and final frame which Eoghan took by taking out pink and black to win 3-2 to win his first trophy in snooker. The second final on the night was contested between Jonathan Williams and Sean King. With Jonathan Williams in good form he won 4-0 but the score line does not do the match any justice. There was some fantastic snooker played by both players with some big breaks by both players also. Sean king deserved something out of the game in the second frame Sean was so close to getting his first frame on the board when he was 40 points ahead, but a stunning 46 clearance from Jonathan Williams took the frame. With Jonathan leading 3-0 it went to the fourth and final frame the momentum swung either way in this! It came down to the pink and black and Jonathan took them out with a fantastic black along the cushion to take a 4-0 win and to retain his crown as Carrickmacross Snooker club Senior Champion.
